Stamford Endowed Schools' major performance of the year by the First Orchestra at the Stamford Endowed Schools
The programme is an ambitious one this year and it is hoped to include Dvorak's 9th Symphony (New World Symphony), Shostakovich Festival Overture and three solo items; an extract from the opera 'Don Giovanni' by Mozart, the slow movement of DeBeriot's 9th violin concerto and 1st movement of Weber's clarinet concerto. The evening will conclude with a new composition by the First Orchestra conductor Mr Nicholas Taylor to commemorate Stamford's forty years as a conservation area.
